About J.C. Plaza
Bio
As a young child, J.C. Plaza told tales of creatures living beneath the floorboards to her pet mice, while teaching her Chihuahua Spanish. Later, she earned a BS in Clarinet Performance, and an MBA. She also married her high school sweetheart, birthed two enchanting children, and moved to the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania where she started her doctoral adventures, leading to an early retirement from her music career.
After hanging up her clarinet, J.C. Plaza kept her black velvet dresses and turned them into the inspiration for her rekindled passion, fantasy storytelling. She earned her MBA and embarked on her doctoral journey in learning management a field focused on teaching professional skills to adult learners. Working with high-profile clients, she realized publishing was just the beginning. She spent countless hours prior to her novel’s release researching marketing and personal branding. Combining her marketing knowledge, performance skills, and writing prowess, she released her first novel, The Legend of Lake Sangre: Summer’s Reign and her own marketing campaign, adding social media content creation to her private client services through her LLC.
As a homeschooling mom, J.C. Plaza wrote books to aid her, now adult, children in reading. Less than a year after her novel’s launch, Smart Little Mouse was released as an early reader followed by, You’re an Author! The Art of Crafting You and finalized the edits to the second book in the Legend of Lake Sangre series–Summer’s Plight.
Now, she spends her time giving life to dreams because fantasies are meant to be shared.
